By Quinn Dalton, M.Ed. Candidate, Graduate Assistant
I’m in the new masters degree program launched by UNCG last fall — the M.Ed. in Teacher Education, concentration in Instructional Technology.
This 100% online program is challenging but worthwhile. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics says, “Employment of instructional coordinators is expected to grow 6% from 2019 to 2029, faster than the average for all occupations.” Average salary nationally with a related masters degree was about $66K.
This degree is not just for K-12 or higher ed — it’s for any kind of training or organizing effort to help people do their best work, in any setting, whether it be corporate, non-profit, healthcare, military, etc.
So, two things:
1. There’s an info session TONIGHT AT 6 PM, sign-up link below.
2. I’d to interview people working in instructional technology / design and share your experiences with current and prospective students. We’ll do a 15-minute Zoom interview (naturally) and you can review before I post.
